Don was even better than we could have hoped for. He was so diligent in finding the music we wanted to play, was available for multiple meetings leading up to the wedding, and was so helpful the day of. My husband and I hired Don Hood to be our DJ for our wedding on Sept 18, 2022. From the first phone call to the day of our wedding, Don was professional, courteous and very knowledgeable in helping us plan our music inventory. My husband and I met Donny almost six years ago while he was DJing at one of our favorite local bars. We used Dj Don Hood for Merritt Companies 50th Anniversary party and were blown away by the entertainment he provided.  We had about 500 employees and guests at the party and I feel like everyone was out on the dance floor at some point in the evening.  He played a variety of music so there was a song for everyone.  We liked him so much we used him for several member parties for Merritt Clubs.  Previously we had a live band at our member parties. Don was the DJ for my 70th Birthday Party at Linwood’s Restaurant. He was absolutely great!! I gave him a song list since I has special songs I wanted played. Even though it was a small event, the dance floor was never empty. My cousin just got married a few weeks ago and Don was the DJ for that wedding also. Music was great and obviously it was a little different since the crowd was much younger but still the dance floor was always full. Our wedding was postponed multiple times in 2020 due to the pandemic and Don was always accommodating to us every time we had to reschedule. We finally tied the knot in 2022 and DJ Don Hood rocked the party. The dinner service at the venue was slow to say the least, but Don was able to rework the timeline on the spot and save the day! My now husband and I met DJ Don at one of our favorite bars and instantly hit it off while making song requests over the years. When we were planning our destination wedding in St Maarten, we knew DJ Don had to be there not only as a friend but also because of how talented a DJ he is.
